Annaëlle holds a Postgraduate certificate in Education from the University of Cape Town. She has been teaching at Cape Studies since January.
She is a dedicated and passionate English teacher who believes that teaching is not about knowledge but rather about knowing. She is vivacious, confident and reliable.
In her freetime, she enjoys reading, going to the movies and loves everything to do with Latin American and Ballroom dancing.

David was a software developer based in Singapore before going to study English Literature/Linguistics and Drama at Rhodes University. He enjoys travelling and has been all over the world including such exotic places as Cambodia, Laos and Morocco. He finds teaching English an incredibly rewarding experience and has been with us since January this year. He is currently studying towards an LLB (law) degree.

Debbie has been in the teaching industry for over 10 years, teaching both adults and children. She loves teaching adults because of her passion for travel and learning about different cultures.

George has taught at Cape Studies since February 2001. Before that he worked in adult skills development programmes training people in South African townships. George always has an interesting story to tell and is known for his patience.
I liked that we had very interesting discussions about South Africa and the countries where the students are from. He has a very good general knowledge.

She studied languages at the University of Stellenbosch and then trained to be a translator/editor at Rhodes University. After working for several years in publishing, she started her teaching career and completed her teachers qualification part-time. She has been a member of the Cape Studies staff since January 2005 and enjoys the stimulation of interacting with students from different countries – Socio-linguistics is her ‘secret passion’.

Justine finished a Bachelor of Arts degree at Stellenbosch University, majoring in Psychology and English. Thereafter she received a TEFL qualification. She has been teaching at Cape Studies since January 2007. She enjoys teaching at the same time as learning more about student's different cultural backgrounds.

Kogi graduated from Springfield Teachers Training College and has just completed her CELTA course. She loves her job and enjoys yoga, decorating, reading and dancing.

Lee is a CELTA qualified teacher and is very happy to be back at Cape Studies after traveling for almost 3 years.
Lee enjoys reading, mountaineering and rock-climbing and is interested in photography and painting.

Mark has been teaching in language schools for the past eight years. Prior to this he taught at a computer school. He has taught in the North West Province of China, it was very interesting for him. He likes reading and listening to music. He loves working with foreign students.

Tertius studied film & drama and worked for some years in the film industry in South Africa. In 1994, he went to Zimbabwe to work in advertising and start a design consultancy. Earlier this year, he returned to South Africa to live in Cape Town.

In 1991, after studying law in Mainz, Germany, Jens came to South Africa for a holiday. He loved it so much here that he has never left. In 1995, Jens founded Cape Studies. He stays in contact with our Agents all over the world. He is often in Europe to maintain good relations with our partners. As we are now well established in Europe, Jens is focusing on Asia, mainly Japan, Vietnam and Korea thus, increasing the cultural diversity of our students.

Daniel is our other Director, in charge of Marketing and spends lots of time organising the social programme at the school.
He is South African and started Cape Studies with Jens in 1995.

Aaliya is our new Director of Studies. She holds a CELTA certificate and has been teaching English to foreigners for 5 years. She studied Interior Design and Aromatherapy. She's travelled abroad, lived in Ireland, explored Amsterdam and worked in London. She enjoys teaching as it gives her the opportunity to meet new people and exchange positive energy.
